QUITZIN (parentage unknown): seedling MO-111; early mid-season herbaceous hybrid bomb; cream-buff guards hold massive, ever-expanding yellow centre with greenish core-glow transmuting to tropical apricot-peach; stems need support to carry numerous, heavy-scented, increasingly massive blooms; fast root-increase; propagates easily; some pollen and many seeds; unmatched as seed-parent of yellow-style hybrid doubles; buds often sharply lime-green before opening; a new division will at first produce uninterestingly single or modestly Jap-style blooms; after some years plants starts progressively shifting into full glory, producing a vast number of oversized, yellow-glowing flowers; half a dozen divisions available.
